How to measure how big your arch needs to be...

Examples:

If the arch is wider than tall:

say 10 feet wide and 8 feet tall,

your arch is 18 feet in length.

If the arch height and width is the same:

say 10 feet wide and 10 feet tall

your arch is a 25 feet in length.

If the arch is taller than it is wide:

say 10 feet wide and 15 feet tall,

your arch is 40 feet in length.
